The retail shelf at Hop & Hound — a small, considered selection.

We keep the retail side deliberately small. A few things we actually use ourselves — treats from a bakery down the road, leads that survive a proper wash, and accessories that earn their place in your pocket.

What's on the shelf

Everything we stock is practical, durable and — where we can — made locally. If it wouldn't survive a muddy walk, it doesn't make the shelf.

Why we stock what we stock

Supporting local makers and practical design.

Local first

Local first

We support other Canterbury businesses wherever we can.

Practical only

Practical only

If it doesn't survive a muddy walk, it doesn't make the shelf.

The treats come from The Canterbury Bakehouse, a small bakery two streets over that started making dog biscuits as a side project. The leads are from a British manufacturer who builds them to last. We're not trying to be a pet superstore — just a shelf of things that work.
